Brussels metro system will run between 7h until 21h with 51 out of the 69 stations open starting from Monday, announced on Sunday Brussels minister Rudi Vervoort. According to Mr Vervoort, the decision was taken after discussions took place between Brussels and federal governments on Sunday following security related information disclosed by special services.
He also explained that the Brussels region is seeking “a complete reopening of all stations and the full use of the metro system with strong security conditions” as soon as possible. He thanked the STIB workers “who have managed the trams and buses since the attacks in these acute and difficult conditions”.
