Public transport will be disrupted today in Brussels

About half of the metro and tram lines will be out of service in Brussels on Tuesday (24 May) because of the demonstration by the unions. STIP informs that only metro lines 1 and 2 will partly function, with a minimum of half of the wagons which normally are in traffic.

Only trams 3, 4, 7, 19, 25, 39, 51, 82, 92, 94 will partly be in traffic. Busses 21, 71, 78 and 95 will also run.

All other lines will not be in service. “The situation is assessed by the hour. Depending on the shifts of drivers, the situation might change during the day," said Cindy Arents, spokesman of the STIB.

The company invites users of public transport to keep themselves updated via social networks.
