Travel organisation demands return to normal at Brussels Airport

Efforts to normalize the situation after the terror attacks are still needed. The Belgian Travel Organisation said on Wednesday (1 June) that more is needed on the eve of the summer holidays.

"Why do we still need to check all cars?  Cars approaching the airport should always slow down to allow a control. The usefulness of checking all cars is questionable," said Jan Van Steen, president of the travel organisation.

The association also believes that the signage at the airport could be improved.

"The route from the building entrance to the last check-in is like a maze. The reopening of the departure hall tomorrow (2 June) should prevent many complications. A good display of signs within the airport will release more staff to other forms of passenger service," he said.
