Strike disrupts railway traffic in Wallonia

Railway traffic was disrupted on Thursday morning. There are few trains in traffic in Wallonia while in the north of the country about 90 % of the trains are going.

“The situation remains the same as yesterday (1 June),” confirmed Nathalie Pierard, the spokesperson for SNCB.

Hainaut remained the weak spot of rail traffic on Thursday morning. No train has been in traffic on line 94 between Brussels and Tournai. "In other regions, some trains are going to Brussels, especially from Namur and, to a lesser extent, from Liège," Pierard specified.

Traffic is against almost ensured between Namur and Luxembourg.

In Flanders, about 90% of trains were in traffic but the traffic was slightly impacted by the situation in Wallonia.
