Brussels Airport welcomed more than 2.4 million passengers in July. That’s a little less than the 2.5 million it welcomed this time last year. It’s a good sign that the market is continuing to stabilise, the airport said on Friday.
“Like in May and June, the number of local passengers flying continues to increase. It is now close to what we were seeing in 2015”, Brussels Airport said. The number of passengers is continuing to increase considerably (11.2% compared to July 2015).
On the other hand, the total freight volume has fallen. It went down by 8.8% compared to this time last year. The cargo volume also fell by 9.8% in a year.
The number of flights has dropped by 3%, but the number of passengers has remained around the same at 124 passengers.
