Two police officers stabbed in Brussels in a possible terrorist attack

Two police officers have been injured Wednesday morning in Schaerbeek, a commune in Brussels. Brussels public prosecutor said that the two policemen were stabbed by a man who had approached them without warning. There is indication to believe that the act was a terrorist attack but the prosecutor would not release more details.

The two policemen were attacked by a man armed with a knife. One of the officers was injured in the neck while the other was stabbed in the stomach area. The assailant was shot by another police unit and has been arrested.

The attack took place on Boulevard Lambermont in Schaerbeek.
