An armed robbery was committed around 8.30 p.m. on Thursday evening, by three men in the Carrefour supermarket in Place Sainte-Catherine in Brussels. This series of events was indicated by witnesses.
The three individuals entered the shop shortly before closing time. They threatened staff and customers present with a firearm, and demanded the contents of the cash till.
Nobody was injured during the attack. Once they had their money, the robbers made off on bicycles.
