Schuman Roundabout Lights Up

During the first two weeks of December, Schuman Roundabout will be illuminated. Starting already from 30 November, a reception will inaugurate the lighted up square in the presence Brussels minister for Economic affairs, Ms Marion Lemesre. She will also take the opportunity to announce the market that will take place on the roundabout from 30 November until 4 December.

On 6 December Minister President Rudi Vervoort and Brussels Minister for Mobility Pascal Smet will join for an evening after work drink.

On 7 December, several Embassies, regional offices and tourism offices will take part in an evening of food tasting, showcasing their local delicacies, from 6 pm until 10.30 pm.

On 8 December, KBC Brussels will invite their clients for a winter drink from 6 pm until 9 pm.

The festivities continue on 10 December with a “Saturday lunch” from 12 pm to 4 pm. On the same day, the European Council will open their doors for the public to their new building “Europa” with guided tours. Free registration to the tours can be done online on: consilium.europa.eu/visiteuropa

Finally on 14 December, a Christmas reception will take place hosted by the Slovak mission to the EU and its Embassy in Brussels. The traiditional Slovak soup Bryndzové Halusky will be served.

The initiative and programme for “Schuman lights up” was taken by the “Schuman Square” organisation and is running on its second consecutive year.
