The lights of Grand-Place of Brussels will be extinguished Thursday night from 7:00 to 7:30 in a show of solidarity with the people of Aleppo, Syria.
There will be no lights on, nor will there be music. No speeches are planned.
It is an initiative of a group of citizens and associations showing solidarity with the civil victims of Aleppo, supported by the City of Brussels. Somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 civilians are caught in a vice between the rebels and the pro-regime forces in Aleppo, the second-largest city in Syria, a town destroyed by bombardments.
