Queen Paola had an operation this morning (Friday) at the Saint-Luc University Hospital, in Brussels. The Palace have informed the Belga press agency that it “was very successful.”
It follows Queen Paola having a fall in which she fractured a femoral neck (in layman’s terms one of her hips).
Owing to this incident, Prince Albert has been unable to attend the mass, which was held today, in memory of deceased members of the Royal Family at the Church of Our Lady of Laeken, which is located in Laeken.
