11th Peace Festival to take place on 21st May in Brussels
The Place d'Espagne will come alive on the afternoon of May 21st with the Peace Festival.

The association Alliance for Peace in the Middle East announced yesterday that the 11th “Shalom - Vrede - Paix - Peace - Salaam” Festival is shortly due to take place. This will be held on Sunday May 21st, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Place d'Espagne in Brussels.

This year this cultural event will welcome the metal sculptor, Yaron Bob. He transforms the remains of rockets into flowers.

Also on the bill, is the chef Nof Atamna Ismaeel, the winner of Masterchef 2014 in Israel.

The afternoon will come alive with concerts and dancing. Various stands will display photos, paintings and literature. Children's entertainment will be organised. Kosher catering is guaranteed.

People will give accounts on the reality of life in Israel and the organisers are indicating that “analytical speeches on the anti-Israelian campaign” will take place throughout the event.

This cultural festival, organised each year in Brussels and Antwerp, aims to promote peace and harmony between the various peoples, and fight against anti-Semitism.

The organisers have decided that this event will include Belgian civil society organisations, such as the Alliance for Peace in the Middle East, the Belgian Coalition for Israel, Koinonia Ministries and Beautiful Israel.

The Alliance for Peace in the Middle East will bring together various Jewish and Christian organisations. Their aim is to develop an inter-religious dialogue in favour of religious co-existence and tolerance.
