Brussels President-Minister Rudi Vervoort will be standing in the 2019 regional elections. Mr Vervoort said he hopes to win a second term as head of the Brussels government when appearing on “C’est pas tous les jours dimanche” (RTL-TVI) on Sunday.
“I will fight to make the PS the biggest political family in the region. I know it will not be easy, but I will be standing”, he replied to one question. “Of course”, he responded when asked if he would be standing for President-Minister.
Rudi Vervoort (58 years old) took over from Charles Picqué as head of the Brussels government in May 2013. He retained the position after the May 2014 elections.
