“De Bruyne is the second best player in Europe”

Belgian professional footballer Kevin De Bruyne made a very good start to the season in his club Manchester City. On Saturday, he was behind his team's victory over Stoke City (7-2), assisting other players to score two of the goals and responsible for many key passes.

"He is currently the second best player in Europe," his coach Pep Guardiola told a press conference on Monday (16 October).

The Catalan coach spoke before the press before the game today between the 'Skyblues' and Naples for the 3rd day of the Champions League. The English club has the maximum points in group F after their successes against Feyenoord (0-4) and Shakhtar (2-0).

This weekend, De Bruyne came out after 65 minutes of play against the 'Potters' in the Etihad Stadium. His performance was also praised by Mark Hughes, the coach of the opposing team, who did not hesitate to declare that the Belgian footballer is "the best player of the Premier League".

For Pep Guardiola, only Lionel Messi is above the 26-year-old midfielder. "I want to help Kevin achieve the highest level," the coach said.
