Emirates also cancels several Brussels flights, after Ryanair

The airline Emirates has discreetly cancelled a series of flights at Brussels airport over the last few days, La Libre reported on Saturday. Apparently this was due to a lack of pilots, the same as Ryanair a few months ago. At least a dozen Emirates flights between Belgium and Dubai have been or will be cancelled over the next few weeks. Flights to and from London, Munich or Oslo will also be affected.

The Emirian airline provisionally grounded twenty of its planes, no doubt due to a lack of passengers. May is generally a quiet month for the airline.

But Emirates, same as most airlines, is also suffering from a severe lack of pilots. At the beginning of April, its boss said they needed another 100 to 150 pilots to operate at full capacity.
