100% electronic buses will go into service on the new Stib line in the Brussels region on the 1st of June. The "Citybuses" will connect the Dansaert neighbourhood with Louise by crossing the city center of the capital by rue du Lombard and the Sablon.
The new 33 line will include seven electronic buses with 42 spaces, 22 of which are standing. These Citybuses have "overnight charging" technology, which means their batteries can be recharged at the station overnight.
The buses are expected to run for 8 hours without charging.
