Metro service between Montgomery and Stockel to be interrupted on 9 -10 June

The Metro 1  line between Montgomery and Stockel stations will be closed on 9-10 June due to work on the switching system, the Brussels public transport company, Stib, announced on Wednesday. Additional switching points will be installed between Tomberg and Roodebeek stations, which will require the interruption of traffic between the two stations.

Shuttle buses will replace the interrupted metro service on those days. They will run between Montgomery and Stockel in the direction of Stockel and up to Mérode, in the Gare de l’Ouest direction. In this way, there will be a faster connection with Line 5.

All closed stations will be served, as well as bus stops along the route of the shuttles, the Stib disclosed.

The last buses on lines 28 (to Konkel), 42 (to Viaduc E40) and 45 (to Saint-Vincent) will depart 20 minutes later to ensure connections with the last shuttles.
