Brussels Great Mosque: Prosecutor opens investigation

Answering Peter de Roover’s (N-VA) parliamentary question, Minister of Justice Koen Geens (CD&V) has confirmed that the prosecution has started a preliminary investigation concerning the Great Mosque, write Thursday Hen Nieuwsblad and De Standaard. In a report, the Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis (CUTA) pinpointed the teaching given in Brussels’s Grand Mosque, as well as the manuals being distributed there. These relate in particular about war against those who do not respect the sharia law and about punishment of homosexuals; as for the Jews, they are described disgracefully, etc.

The prosecution has a preliminary investigation, indicates Koen Geens. If violation of anti-discrimination laws is found, charges might follow.
