There will be structural night work on the inner ring of Brussels (RO) near Grimbergen on Wednesday and Thursday, Flemish Roads and Traffic Agency (AWV - Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer) warned today. The work will take place at the A12 junction, direction Anvers/Liège/Namur. 2.4 km of the right lane section will be renewed (top layer of asphalt, lateral markings and tape). Only the left lane will be open for night traffic.
The repairs will begin at 9 pm on Wednesday at the A12 exit (Expo/Strombeek-Bever). Considering the extent of the work, the operations will be divided so that vehicles can run during the day on the part already repaved.
The RO will be open therefore on Thursday morning until 9 pm when construction is resumed. The inner ring will again be fully available as of 5 am Friday.
The AWV expects very limited traffic disruption thanks to the phasing and scheduling of work that it has put in place.
