Several STIB lines interrupted due to the climate march protest

Traffic on several STIB buses has been interrupted due to the march for the climate taking place in Brussels, the Brussels public transport company announces on Twitter. These are bus lines 58, 61, 38 and 29, 47 and 88.

The head of the procession, which is expected to arrive at the Midi station at 15:00, had reached Boulevard Pachéco shortly after 14:00.

Following an international call launched by Greta Thunberg, climate strikes are being held in more than 80 countries around the world on Friday

In Belgium, Citizens for Climate, Students for Climate, Workers for Climate, Teachers for Climate and Rise for Climate have planned strikes in more than 21 cities across the country. Unions have also expressed support for the cause, but have not filed general strike notices, according to reports.
