Train traffic has been interrupted between Herentals and Turnhout since 5.20 a.m on Friday. The delay is due to a collision between a train and a postal car at a level crossing in Lichtaart, a part of Kasterlee. No injuries were reported, according to Infrabel spokesperson Frédéric Petit.
In the first instance, travellers had to use the regular bus service from De Lijn. The NMBS has now offered replacement buses.
