An unnamed man is in the hospital on Monday morning after emergency serviced rescued him from a Brussels canal, a spokesman of the firefighters confirmed to Belgian media. The police were called to the scene in Yser at around 8:20 am after reports of a body in the water.
Fire services were also present on the scene. Resuscitation efforts were successful, and the man was considered stable enough to be taken to the hospital. He remains in a serious condition.
