A young man was stabbed on Monday evening in Place Sainte-Catherine in Brussels, according to the Brussels Capitale-Ixelles police.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known. The police simply report that they were called to the scene for a young man wounded by a knife on Monday evening.
“He was wounded in the neck and was taken to the hospital,” said spokeswoman for the Brussels Capitale-Ixelles police zone Ilse Van de Keere told Bruzz, adding that his life was not currently in danger. A security perimeter had also been installed on site.
According to witnesses, the victim is a young man between the ages of 20 and 30. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.
