Between the exit to Evere and the Reyers tunnels on the E40 in Brussels, the motorway will have one lane less starting from this weekend. Originally, the Brussels government wanted to go from six to four lanes, but for now, only one lane will be scrapped instead of two, confirmed the cabinet of Minister for Mobility Pascal Smet to Bruzz.
The part of the E40 that will be narrowed this weekend is a stretch of approximately two kilometres. The E40 will eventually become a much narrower city boulevard.
