A woman suspected of drug dealing and banned from entering Belgian territory was arrested in a Brussels neighbourhood on Wednesday.
The 39-year-old was arrested with 4.5 grams of cocaine in her pocket and a small amount of cannabis in Ixelles' Matongué neighbourhood, the Brussels' public prosecutor told Bruzz.
The woman is known to law enforcement authorities for her involvement in 16 other judicial proceedings.
In 2014, the federal Immigration Affairs Office issued a ban on the woman entering Belgian territory which runs until 2022.
No further details have been made available on the reasons behind the ban or on the detainee's previous legal proceedings.
