On Saturday 8 July, police arrested a man armed with a shotgun in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht, Le Soir reports on Wednesday.
Police received calls concerning an armed man travelling in the vicinity of Place Lemmens. Police quickly intercepted the man, who was travelling on an electric scooter.
The person was believed to be armed with a shotgun, which police described as “functional.”

The individual was arrested and taken to the police station. He was reportedly released after questioning.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
