The Eighth World of Pairi Daiza zoo opens on Saturday with the theme of British Colombia, the Parc Hennuyer announced on Thursday in a press release.

“The Last Frontier” will welcome the public to eight hectares of rivers and forests. It will also showcase the first homes of the Jardin des Mondes (Garden of the Worlds).

Brown and black bears, grey wolves, Canadian wolves, beavers, deer, elks, skunks, otters, and more will now live there among some 1,000 plantations of oak, larch, spruce and other trees typical of the area around southern Alaska.

The opening of “The Last Frontier” to the public also marks the launch of “half-board immersion stays” alongside the park’s furred and feathered inmates, in some 50 lodgings built in this new world inspired by Amerindian culture.
