Hidden Belgium: Cremerie François

Locals in Sint-Niklaas have been treating themselves to ice cream sundaes in Cremerie François since it opened in 1928.

Located near the main square, the spacious modern salon is decorated with neon lights and enlarged old photographs taken in the streets of Sint-Niklaas in the 1920s.

The owners make their own creamy ice cream following a secret recipe from 1928. The only detail they reveal is that the milk comes from the local Cleeterboshoeve dairy farm.
