Look for the neon sign in Antwerp’s Provinciestraat. That’s Kleinblatt’s. For more than 100 years, people have been coming to this kosher bakery in Antwerp’s Jewish quarter for sesame seed bread, bagels and cakes.

The Kleinblatt family originally ran a bakery Warsaw, but moved to Antwerp in the 1920s. The business is now run by the great-grandchildren. Their customers come here from far outside Antwerp to pick up delicious Sachertorte and cheesecake, along with special cakes for Jewish festivals.
