The German airplane pilots union, Vereinigung Cockpit, has announced a one-day strike on Thursday at Eurowings, a German subsidiary of Lufthansa.
The union said the strike was in reaction to the failure of negotiations on a wage agreement.
Eurowings management on Tuesday called the strike irresponsible and said it did not know how many flights would be affected.
The strike will have an impact only on Eurowings' activities in Germany, a company spokesperson said.
