The rebroadcasting of the online edition of the Tomorrowland music festival on Saturday afternoon was cancelled by the organiser because of the surge in new coronavirus (Covid-19) infections.

The online-only 2020 edition of the Tomorrowland Around the World festival on Saturday and Sunday was to have been shown on the big screen at a drive-in cinema installed at the site of Tour & Taxis.

However, Movie Drive - the organiser - decided to cancel the broadcast after a spike in coronavirus cases led the Belgian authorities to call for increased vigilance against the virus.

Movie Drive had planned to install DJ sets from 12:00 PM, then broadcast Tomorrowland live from 4:00 PM on Saturday. One ticket could be bought per car, with the price depending on the number of occupants - from €25 for two people to €85 for four.

A few places were also available, with due respect for social distancing, for people on bicycles or on foot.
