Several cycling associations are organizing various activities in order to promote cycling in the capital. The organization Pro Cycling will set up a "Happy Hour bike". GRACQ, will propose a bike ride to explore heritage and cycling infrastructures, which can also discovered on the organizations websites. Pro Cycling will host its traditional "Happy Hour bike" Thursday, September 18th during which the Bike Experience Award will be handed out. The award will reward one of the 41 businesses, public offices, associations and organizations that participated in the Bike Challenge Experience which promoted the use of bicycles as a means of getting to work.
The organization will also offer several guided bicycle tours to explore Brussels as part of Heritage Days which will take place on Saturday September 20th and Sunday, September 21st. The theme for these days will be War 14-18.
Pro Velo will again welcome the public at Central Station to offer useful and practical information for cyclists as well as anti-theft engravings which are an effective way for people to identify their bikes and prevent them from being stolen.
GRACQ, for its part, will organize Lunch Time Bike Ride Tours, guided by experienced cyclists, which will be starting at the Jardin du Maalbeek in the European district on Monday the 15th, Thursday the 18th and Friday, September 19th. On September 21st, these everyday cyclists will also host a bike ride to explore the heritage and cycling infrastructure in Evere. The organization will have a stand set up from 11:00 to 19:00 at the Square in Evere, in honor of the 13th edition of Car Free Day.
The non-profit organization Bravvo and police in the Brussels-Ixelles area will also be offering anti-theft engravings at the Bois de la Cambre and Theatre de la Bourse on Sunday, Sept. 21st.
