Belgian animated movie receives Cartoon d'Or in Toulouse

"The Christmas Log", a new episode of the animated series "A Town Called Panic" by Belgians Vincent Patar and Stéphane Aubier, was awarded the Cartoon d’Or on Thursday night at the Cartoon Forum, which took place in Toulouse from September 23rd to the 26th. The 26-minute film was one of five finalists selected out of 30 short films who won at other European animation festivals. The episode,  once again bringing together Indian and Cowboy , won against "Boles" (Slovenia / Germany), " Anatole’s Little Saucepan " (France), " Kiki of Montparnasse" (France) and "Mr Hublot" (Luxembourg / France), to which the Belgian Stéphane Halleux lent his talent as a sculptor and animator.

The jury for the Cartoon d'Or 2014 was composed of Belgian producer Eric Goossens,German   director and producer Tony Loeser  and French director Benjamin Renner

The award ceremony was preceded by the screening of five films in front of a professional audience.  The award itself is worth 10,000 euros,

Open until Friday, The Cartoon Forum is an annual event dedicated to the co-production of European animated series and the revitalization of the cartoon sector in Europe.
