Liège Fair back on Saturday for its 155th edition

For the 155th year, the Liege fair will take over Avroy Boulevard from Saturday, October 4th until November 11th. One and a half million people are expected to attend the five-week festival. Preparations are well underway for the official opening of the fair which will be held Saturday, Oct. 4th starting at 3PM with the traditional parade by city authorities. 

Stretching more than one kilometer, the Liege fair, with 175 attractions, is the largest in Belgium. Although there are no new attractions this year, previous favorites such as"The Eclipse" that will take thrill seekers into the air, the "Turbine", the "XXL" or "Katapult extreme rides" will be back. The Ferris wheel, which is present every year, will once again be there.

If the weather is favorable, 1.5 million people are expected. Six hundred stallholders will also work in Liege during those five weeks. Prices charged for the occupation of public space has brought the City more than one million euros.

Two days of "reduced rates" are scheduled for Thursday, October 30th and Tuesday, November 11th, the last day of the fair.
