FIAPF - 250,000 euros granted to four Belgian-French trans-media projects

On Wednesday afternoon, during the 29th edition of the International Francophone Film Festivalin Namur,  Philippe Reynaert, director of Wallimage, and Philippe Freville, director of Pictanovo, which manages the Cinema and Audiovisual Fund in  Nord-Pas de Calais, presented the four winners of the first transregional "Interactive experiences" Fund between Wallonia and  Nord-Pas de Calais. This fund is for trans-media, gaming and digital media produced in Nord-Pas de Calais and Wallonia. “This is an opportunity for trans-media to be recognized on an international level," said Philippe Reynaert.

"The goal is to create a consortium that combines art, technology and the economy, and innovation," said Philippe Freville.

"Crime and Punishment” which was awarded 35,000 euros, is an interactive immersion experience on the subject of post-prison rehabilitation, accompanied by a series of documentaries.

"What the Fake 2 / Selfies" , which was awarded 40,000 euros, is a participatory documentary in which eight teenagers will film themselves with their smartphone for a year.

The web series "Mr. and Mrs. Flash"  a Belgian, Marseille and Bordeaux co-production was awarded 75,000 euros. The series was inspired by the old "Marabout Flash" books and comes with video "tutorials" available on the Internet.

The video game "Canteen Monsters” which was developed by two studios from France and Mons, was awarded 95,000 euros. This game, in which the user fights mutant food, comes with two additional games for the computer, smartphone or tablet.
