Stromae a big winner again at the Music Industry Awards

Stromae once again won numerous awards on Thursday evening at the 8th Music Industry Awards (MIA’s). It’s the biggest music award ceremony in Flanders. The Brussels artist won 4 out of the 5 categories he was nominated for. The musician Luc de Vos, who died recently, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously. Last year, Stromae won 8 MIA’s. For 2015, he had to “make do” with 4. He won the Pop, Best male artist, Best video (“Ta Fête”) and Live act categories.

Oscar and the Wolf won three awards, including Revelation of the year and Album of the year (“Entity”). They were nominated for six.

Gabriel Rios was awarded Best artist-composer and “Hit of the year”.

Triggerfinger, with Best group, won their seventh award, while Selah Sue won her fourth by winning the Female artist of the year category.
