The 31st Mons International Love Film Festival (FIFA) officially opens its doors on Friday evening at 8pm. The opening Gala will be at the Royal Mons theatre. The film “Art de la Fugue” will be shown for the occasion as an avant-premiere national. The director Brice Cauvin and comedians Agnès Jaoui, Bruno Putzulu and Marie-Christine Barrault will be present. Ms Barrault will be the Mons festival patron. The Chilean cineaste Sebastian Lelio will be head of the Festival’s jury, and prizes will be given out on the 27th of February during the closing Gala.
The FIFA 2015 will take place from the 20th to the 27th of February at Mons theatre, at the Imagix complex, the Plaza Art cinema, and Lotto-Mons-Expo. More than 30,000 viewers are expected. The 2015 festival will offer more than 100 short and long films to the public. There will be a particular leaning towards Czech cinema as a whole and the director Jiri Menzel, as well as the Czech town of Pilsen, which shares the title European capital of culture with Mons.
