“N-The madness of reason” wins the Ensor for best film at Ostende

“N-The madness of reason” by Peter Krüger was awarded best film at the Ensors on Saturday evening. This awards ceremony takes place at the end of the Ostende festival. The film also won awards for its music and editing.

The other big winner was “Wasteland”, which won the Ensors for best scenario, best supporting actress (Babetide Sadjo), best supporting actor (Peter Van den Begin) and best director.

The Ensor for best actress went to Amaryllis Uitterlinden for her performance in “Brabançonne”, and Gène Bervoets won best actor for his role in “Paradise Trips”.

The Ensors (formerly Vlaamse filmprijzen) are the Flemish version of the Magrittes. The awards are handed out by a jury of professionals from the Flemish art world.
