Festivals are worried about the increase in the SABAM’s prices

Several music festival organisers have expressed concern about the increase the SABAM’s prices for next year, L’Echo reported on Saturday. It will be 16 to 37%, depending on the size of the event.

Festival promoters say the price increase will be go hand in hand with more elements being taken into account, including the artist’s payment and sound and lighting costs.

The Flanders Music Festival Federation is looking into appealing against this price increase. The French-speaking organisers who have spoken to the press appear less concerned.
