Chokri Mahassine, the organiser of the Pukkelpop festival, has said he is happy with the 2016 edition of the event. “Everything went smoothly. The atmosphere was great. The ‘Pukkelpopers’ were obviously enjoying themselves, and that made me happy”, he said at the end of the festival.
The projectors on the Pukkelpop main stage were turned off in the early hours of Sunday morning, after Oscar and the Wolf’s set. The only international artist was (the disappointing) Rihanna, but there was something for everyone at the festival due to the diversity of the artists.
The biggest star of the festival Rihanna, dissapointed her fans when she arrived 50 minutes late to her stage and failed to pay any respect or to apologize. Her set was also bad and she was greeted with loud boos by a big part of the audience who couldn't hide their discontent.
However overall the festival was a great success and Chokri Mahassine couldn’t hide his joy. “We can say it was a great year, on every level” he said. “Next year, we will place the bar even higher yet again”.
