Around 2,000 people attended the first day of Nandrin Festival

Organisers said around 2,000 people attended the first day of Nandrin Festival on Friday. There are three types of music on offer over the three days: new wave on the first day (Friday), a family-friendly program on Saturday and pop-rock on Sunday. Tickets for the event are still available. It will end on Sunday. 

Suffocating Minds, from Liege, opened the Festival. They wowed the audience during the afternoon, playing some of their well-known songs such as “Second Life, “I don’t care” and “Should I look above”. 

They were followed by headliners Front 242, who played to a huge audience. Front 242 played to limited numbers in the United States and Nandrin Festival will be their only performance in Belgium this year. 

The Opening day on Friday was mainly geared towards new wave style music. The artists booked to play that day included Dole, We are Waves and From Kissing. The audience, which included many connoisseurs, are interacting particularly swell with the singers and musicians this year. The atmosphere is said to be amazing.
