About 38,000 visitors were plunged into a world of science fiction, fantasy and contemporary pop culture at this year’s Comic Con Brussels, held on Saturday and Sunday at Tours & Taxis in the Belgian capital. Saturday was the more popular day, with 22,000 visitors, as against 16,000 on Sunday. Actresses Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch, alias Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood of Harry Potter fame, were announced. So were Billie Piper and Michelle Gomez, better known as Rose Tyler and Missy, from the science-fiction series Doctor Who.
Those hankering for the 1990s were able to rub shoulders with Corin Nemec, Parker Lewis or the Power Rangers.
In addition to meeting characters from comics, TV series and popular films, visitors were able to enjoy a Silent Disco, and activities such as laser shooting and the Jedi Academy.
