The American video platform Netflix just opened an office in Brussels, l’Echo announced Saturday. This Belgian office will be a commercial and lobbying antenna and will also have support activities, Netflix European headquarters in Amsterdam confirmed.
Netflix’s Dutch subsidiary is behind Los Gatos Streaming Services Belgium, which has become the new Brussels office’s nickname.
Netflix recently launched a major offensive in Europe with the opening of offices in Amsterdam and London, a production site in Spain and soon an office in Paris. The American platform in Europe seeks new sources to expand, after almost reaching saturation in the USA.
In Belgium, the group will also benefit from production aids, such as the tax shelter.
