A 45-year-old cleaner died on Wednesday while working at a meat processing company in Zottegem, in the province of East Flanders.
The man, who was living in Zottegem, had been working for the company for 14 years, Het Laatste Nieuws reported.
He was cleaning in the work hall and got stuck in a machine. Emergency services were called immediately, according to Het Nieuwsblad, but the man reportedly died on the spot.
The East Flanders prosecutor’s office went on location to investigate the circumstances of the accident, Het Nieuwsblad wrote.
