On Friday, former catholic priest, Eric Dejaeger pleaded guilty of committing sexual abuse in another 24 instances on minors, on top of the previous 8 charges which he has already pleaded guilty for.
The 67 year old Belgian allegedly abused young boys in the Canadian city of Iglooik between 1978 and 1982. More than 40 people have testified during the trials which started in November 2013, before being postponed to January and March this year.
Eric Dejaeger has been held in solitary confinement at the Baffin prison in Canada since his arrest in January 2011.
