3 minors questioned for armed robbery on pharmacy in Evere

On Friday evening at around 5.30p.m. there was an armed robbery on a pharmacy located Chaussée de Hecht in Evere, reported Roland Thiébault on Saturday, spokesman for the Bruxelles-Nord police zone. The three perpetrators, all under the age of 18 (two aged 16 and one 17-year-old), were transferred to court in Brussels. The three pulled a gun on the pharmacist, who immediately set off the alarm  and the youths fled the scene. They were followed by a witness who saw them get onto a line 55 tram  heading for the city centre, at intersection between Linden Street and Chaussée de Helmet. A police patrol stopped the tram and the suspects were arrested.

They still had the weapon used in the attempted robbery on them, found to be a toy gun. They were also carrying clothing to hide their faces and one also had a can of pepper spray. None of them were previously known to the police services.
