The Trade Unions and the Belgian Royal Football Union management postpone their meeting

The meeting between the Trade Unions and the Belgian Royal Football Union management (URBSFA) to talk about the job losses has been postponed until Tuesday at 3pm, say the Flemish branch of the Socialist Employee Syndicate (BBTK). It was initially planned for today. The staff from the URBSFA headquarters went on strike Friday afternoon to oppose 22 people losing their jobs. This decision was taken without anyone being consulted, according to the Union.

The management and the Unions met briefly on Friday and the strike was suspended.  The CEO Steven Martins is expected to pass on the staff’s concerns to the board before meeting with the Unions again on Tuesday.
