The Flemish government will shell out 380,000 euros extra for the restauration of the piece “L’adoration de l’Agneau mystique”, the cabinet of the Flemish minister Geert Bourgeois (N-VA) said on Thursday, confirming information reported in the newspaper De Gentenaar. The Flemish ministers Sven Gatz (Open VLD) and Geert Bourgeois (N-VA) will hand over 190,000 euros each. The Inbev-Baillet Latour fund will provide 100,000 euros.

The restauration work, which was initially estimated at 1,2 million euros, will take a year and a half more than originally planned. The first phase was started 2 years ago and should have finished at the end of October. The second phase will start in Spring 2016 according to the new calendar.
