Stromae the big winner of the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards for the second year running

The Belgian singer Stromae was crowned ‘Artist of the year” for the second year running at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards, thanks to the votes of his 21,067 fans. He also won “Best live performer”, and “Best video” with “Ta tête”, following in the footsteps of “Tomorrowland After Movie” last year. The prizes were given out on Saturday at Flanders Expo in Gand, as part of the opening of the 20th “I Love Techno” festival, the organizers said in a press release. In 2013, the Belgian artist was also named “Artist of the year”, and went away with “Best album” for “Racine carrée”.

For the fourth year running, Tomorrowland and le Fuse received respectively the “Best festival “and “Best nightclub” awards. Same for Netsky, who won the “Best song” category again.

LeFtO with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike and 2ManyDJ was placed at the head of the 100 top Belgian DJs. He also won “Best party” with “Boiler Room”, which took place in Brussels this year.

The capital is the most popular place to go out with eight of its clubs in the top 30, followed by Gand (6), Antwerp (5) and Liège (3).

The Red Bull Elektropedia Awards reward the best electronic music from Belgium every year.
