SNCB to offer ‘flexible work spaces’ at train stations
Wednesday, 19 November 2014
As of 2015, SNCB, in collaboration with Regus, will be providing rail users with flexible work spaces, co-working areas and meeting rooms at railway stations, announced SNCB on Wednesday. “These new Regus Express centres in stations will contain business lounges, meeting rooms and offer high speed Wi-Fi. Travellers will be able to work or hold meetings with clients in these centres, a stone’s throw away from the platform,” said SNCB in a statement.
The first centre will open its doors in early January at Liège-Guillemins station. Others will follow during 2015: Antwerp, Bruges, Leuven, Saint-Nicolas, Brussels Central, Brussels Midi and Brussels-Luxembourg.
In recent years, stations have seen substantial changes, says SNCB. As well as offering a range of business services, they are also a “crossroads” where different transport methods meet, such as car and bicycle pooling, car parking and charging points for electric cars.
