The funeral of Beatrice Berlaimont will take place this coming Saturday morning, at 10:30am, in Saint-Martin church in Arlon. The burial at Arlon cemetery will be private. Beatrice Berlaimont’s remains repose in the ‘Colles & Dominicy’ funeral parlour, Rue de Diekirch in Arlon, where they were taken on Thursday morning. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects until the day of the funeral.
Beatrice’s family calls on anyone wishing to pay their respects to make a donation to Oxfam Solidarite, account number BE37 0000 0000 2828, with the message “in memory of Beatrice Berlaimont”.
The obituary for the teenager quotes: “Fly away my butterfly, may you find the peace above that you could not find here below”; these words were chosen by Beatrice’s mother. The announcement is signed by her mother, father, step-father, step-mother, grandparents, aunt, cousin, sister, and step-brothers and –sisters.
On Wednesday morning, her former school, Athenee Royal, in Arlon, organised a symbolic release of balloons to honour her memory.
